CARING/PRAY 396
Share each others burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2
PRAYER MINISTRIES
Prayer Opportunities – If you have prayer needs and would like an elder to pray with you privately, members of 4C’s Council of Elders will be up front near the stage after each service to pray with you on an as-needed basis. We welcome and encourage your participation in taking our needs to the Father. Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Also, a prayer team meets in the prayer and counseling room, just inside the south entrance between services (from 10:10-10:25) on Sunday mornings, led by Robin Millett.
Pray 396 — Every Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the Worship Center. All are welcome and encouraged to join us. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” Christians are encouraged by the apostle Paul to pray without ceasing. Do others know they can count on you to be there for them 396 (24/7/365)? Devote yourself to a season of prayer and ask God to give you a heart of prayer for others. Not only will you be a HUGE blessing to others, but you’ll grow immensely in your personal relationship with Jesus. Questions? Contact Pastor Brian McClure at [email protected] or x126.
We occasionally get questions about why we call our Wednesday night prayer time “Pray 396.” In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22, Paul said, “Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies, 21 but test everything; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.” So, if we are going to pray “without ceasing,” then 365 days plus 24 hours a day plus 7 days a week equals 396. Pastor Brian refers to our corporate prayer time as the “engine room” because this is where God’s power flows through His people’s prayers.
Prayer is the foundation of our relationship with God. We are called to prayer corporately over the needs of people in the church and the community. Pray 396 on Wednesday evenings is the opportunity for that type of prayer. At Pray 396 we pray over the prayer requests, worship in song and spend time praying in small groups. We are blessed to hear a testimony from someone periodically. You are encouraged to join this important time at 4Cs as often as you can.
Prayer Shawls — We invite you to take the time to check out the prayer shawls located in the Family Room by the north entry. If you or someone you know would benefit from having a prayer shawl for encouragement, please take one. We ask that you fill out one of the cards in the black box on the wall which allows us to keep track of and pray for those who have received the shawls. Thanks to everyone who has created these beautiful expressions of God’s covering in difficult times.
At Christ Community Covenant Church, we believe that God has called us to love each other through the brightest and darkest seasons. At the very core of our beliefs, is the power of prayer, and we spend time every Wednesday in prayer, lifting up the congregation’s requests to our God.

Caregiver Support Group meets the first Saturday of the month at 9:00 am. We encourage you to join us if you are providing care and support for your spouse, an adult family member or a friend who is in poor health, frail, elderly or disabled. The care recipient may live in their own home, with the caregiver or in a care facility. This is an opportunity to meet with others who are in similar situations. Caregiving is not for the faint of heart. Having a safe place to find support is a blessing. If you have any questions or would like to join, please contact Clarene Shelley at [email protected].
